The Claret Jug Restaurant, named in honour of the famous Open Championship
trophy, is a cosy, informal dining room specialising in quality
char grilled steaks while offering a variety of other mouth watering
dishes including fish, chicken and ever popular rack of lamb. Only
the very best in fresh, local produce, prepared daily by our experienced
chefs, is utilised in our food offerings.
To compliment your meal a fine wine list is offered featuring a
wide range of vintage and country, especially off course, Claret,
and to finish off your meal we offer over 50 single malt whiskeys
covering all regions of Scotland.
It is a combination of quality cuisine and friendly, uncompromising
customer service that has developed the Claret Jug Restaurant into
a preferred place to dine in St Andrews.
Again, golf is the theme throughout the restaurant with prints of
Open Champions hoisting the coveted Claret Jug following historic
Open victories, with one exception. Last years Women’s Open
Champion, Lorena Ochoa could not be left our and the photo of her
with the Women’s Open trophy is on display as well following
her historic win as the first Women’s Champion at St Andrews
in 2007!
